Modern eye examination by a trusted professional
At Geoff Steven and Sons, we offer longer appointments than would typically be allocated at a high street optician to take the time to evaluate the health and visual needs of every patient fully. Hospital-grade equipment is also available to thoroughly assess the ocular health of your eyes.
Varifocal lens expertise
Varifocals aren't all the same. As a result, most of our varifocal lenses are made by Zeiss. Zeiss varifocals have superior vision and reading areas than other brands. However, even high-quality varifocals require precise positioning to provide optimal vision. The Zeiss i-terminals provide precise measurements every time. In front of your eyes, they measure to the nearest 0.1 millimetres where the varifocal lens should be placed.
Myopia (short -sightedness) control
Around a third of people in the UK are myopic. The condition usually starts in childhood (between six and 13) and tends to worsen until the eye has stopped growing. There is a lifetime risk of eye diseases associated with myopia. With advanced techniques, the progression of myopia can be dramatically reduced. This is called “Myopia control” and can be achieved with glasses or contact lenses.

We are confident that you will love any glasses purchased from us. Consequently, we offer a 60 day “love your glasses” guarantee. If for any reason you do not like the glasses you have chosen, we will change them at no charge for a different pair.
2-year warranty
We offer, at no extra charge, peace of mind a 2-year warranty on all complete glasses (frame and lenses) purchased with coated lenses. This includes accidental damage. So even if your dog chews them, as long as you can show us the remnants of your glasses, we will repair or replace them free of charge, up to two years, from the date of purchase.
Flexible payment Options
We can offer several payment options to suit every situation. If more convenient, we can split the cost of complete new glasses of a number of months, in order to suit you best. No credit checks are involved
